The X Factor judges were feeling the love on Saturday evening as a string of couples auditioned for the ITV singing competition.
But no one made quite as big an impact as same sex partners Chris and Gabriel, aka The Shures, who reduced Rita Ora, Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Nick Grimshaw and even Simon Cowell to a soppy mess.
The married couple wowed the 5000-strong crowd with a romantic rendition of Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do, drawing tears from Rita who declared they were an example to everyone.

The dynamic duo had the audience hooked from the start when they explained they had met on a karaoke websiteChris explained: ‘We met on a karaoke website, he commented on one of my songs and gave me a bit of constructive criticism.’
‘I told him he needed to work on his falsetto, which didn’t go down very well. I’ve learnt not to do that anymore!’, Gabriel joked.
BBC Radio 1 presenter Nick’s ears pricked up when he heard their story, joking, ‘I need to get on that website if it’s fun and you can get married!’
The Shures warbled their way through the song, never taking their eyes off each other as they serenaded their other half.
Cheryl enthused: ‘In my opinion it was so authentic You didn’t notice because you didn’t take your eyes off each other, but the audience loved it!’
And Rita was reduced to tears by their loving display, declaring, ‘I’m so happy gay marriage was legalised in our country. You are a prime example to our generation.’
Even Simon agreed, despite his comment that Gabriel was clearly the better singer of the two, giving the delighted couple their fourth yes.
‘We’re becoming very sentimental’, the show boss joked as the judges looked at each other all misty-eyed.
They weren’t the only couple to audition on the day, however, with husband and wife Nige, 44, and Kay, 26, offering an upbeat rendition of Olly Murs and Demi Lovato’s Up – which went down a storm with X Factor co-host Olly, who joked, ‘He sings it better than me!’
‘It’s very endearing to watch a couple that are together. I think the public will really warm to you’, Cheryl enthused.
Simon commented: ‘I’ve got to be honest with me, when I saw Nige & Kay written down I though this was going to be awful, but you chose a really great song and and sang it well’.
Also gaining four yeses were student duo Louel, both 19, who were forced to admit they were more than just friends and had shared a few kisses in the past.
Cheryl made them blush when she declared, ‘There is a bit of sexual chemistry, something that can be worked on.'
The X Factor continues on Sunday evening from 7pm to 9pm on ITV when the contestants move on to Boot Camp.
